A weekend in D.C. was the perfect way to end our trip. D.C. is an easy city to love and I have to admit I was more than happy to be in a place of cars, air conditioning and 24 hour mini marts. We started the weekend listening to Tom O'Conner, one of Justin's closest friends, perform and ended it, with a sunset walk to the Lincoln Memorial where we caught Brad Paisley filming a music video. It felt so nice to be "home" going out for breakfast, drinking never ending lemonades and having home fries with ketchup.
It was also great to get to be apart of Justin's 'real' life for awhile, where we could grill and drink bud lights with hawaiian tee'd coozies at his house, go to the waterfront and drink cocktails with his brother, have iced coffees in Georgetown while we wondered about the new adventure he was about to begin or just marvel at the fact that we weren't sick of each other after two weeks of no separation.
